Use case · Onboarding

An onboarding program that’s still there on day 90.

Onboarding fails by firehose: two weeks of everything, then silence — and by week six the new hire retains a fraction of what the program delivered. Future Proof runs onboarding as a ninety-day retention program instead of a fortnight of exposure.

Structured paths · daily ramp practice · day-90 verification

The firehose is a design choice — and a bad one

The standard program compresses a role’s knowledge into orientation week because that’s when the calendar is empty, not because anyone believes it works. The forgetting curve then does what it always does, and week-six mistakes get blamed on the hire instead of the design.

Spread the same content across the ramp and the picture inverts: orientation introduces, daily ten-minute practice consolidates, and each week’s new material lands on a foundation that’s still standing. The manager’s dashboard shows capability actually accumulating — and flags the concepts that aren’t sticking while the probation period can still respond.

A path, not a pile

Role knowledge is structured into a sequenced path — prerequisites first, applied material after — so each week builds on verified ground. New joiners always know what’s next and why.

The manager’s ramp view

Weekly capability, per topic, per hire — with flags when a concept isn’t landing. Check-ins stop being “how’s it going?” and start being “let’s look at escalation procedures together.”

Day-90 evidence, both directions

By probation review, there’s a verified record of what the hire knows — fair to the hire, defensible for the company, and a measured verdict on the onboarding content itself.

Questions buyers ask

Does this replace our orientation program?

No — live orientation keeps its human jobs: welcome, culture, relationships. What changes is the knowledge transfer: exposure happens in orientation, consolidation happens in the ninety days after, on schedule.

What about hires who arrive experienced?

The diagnostic finds what they already know and the path skips it. An experienced hire might clear in three weeks what a fresher takes twelve to build — both end verified, neither wastes time.

How much manager effort does this need?

Five minutes a week on the ramp view, plus the conversations it recommends. The system’s job is to make those conversations specific; the manager’s job doesn’t change, it just gets aimed.

Can it onboard cohorts, like a campus batch?

Yes — cohort views show the whole batch’s ramp, flag outliers early, and compare cohorts across intakes, which is also how the onboarding content itself gets improved season over season.

When should we connect the HRIS?

Before the pilot if you can: day-one auto-enrollment is a small integration with outsized effect — the program starts without anyone remembering to start it. Zoho People and HROne connect out of the box.

See it on your own content.

Bring one course. We’ll show you the retention curve your current training leaves behind — and what scheduled review does to it.
